Golf
The tradition of golf in the Western Bohemia is long and rich. There are not less than 9 golf resorts. Between them you can find the oldest golf resort in the Czech Republic, created under assistance of the King of England, Edward VII in 1905 near Marienbad.
The wonderful landscape of this region offers perfect conditions for golf: undulating spaces, fresh air, many underground springs that hydrate the green. During the communist times golf was only surviving, but since the Velvet Revolution it marked a very rapid development.
Golf became the favorite sport of many Czech artists and politicians who often travel to Western Bohemia for a healthy session.
